Journal Collages (A selection from hundreds) - “Collaging in my journals is a way I have of working spontaneously and quickly. I collect vintage magazines which I copy and cut, integrating the elements with other papers, tapes, fabric, paint and ink. It is a creative stream of consciousness. A conversation arises between the pages, with elements of the pictures connecting by chance. The journals function as a storage system for my visual outpourings. Whole pages or sections of, find their way into my large-scale oil paintings.'' Sue Ninham 2019.
